The church, the country house and the farmhouse were at that time the property of the father inquisitor of the Dominicans of Casale Monferrato, as testified by the painting dating back to the period depicting the bishop Saint Martin and the Dominican Saint Peter of Verona.
The entire estate was once a historic agricultural property of the Church, the largest in the region, as evidenced by these words, and today, more than 400 years later, it has been restored to its former glory through a long and careful restoration process that gave birth to San Martino Langhe.
Vineyards have been cultivated on these hills since the 1500s, and we continue this tradition today with the same passion and dedication that we put into welcoming you to our rooms.
Our vineyards produce excellent wines, including "VITTORIA ELEONORA" Dolcetto di Dogliani D.O.C.G., our flagship wine, as well as Langhe Nebbiolo Doc, Barbaresco Docg, Barolo Docg, Barbera, Chardonnay, and Langhe Sauvignon.
Eventually, a portion of the estate is dedicated to the cultivation of the renowned Tonda Gentile Hazelnut from Piedmont, an essential ingredient in our traditional recipes.
From our own vineyards, planted out with an excellent exposition, is born our own “VITTORIA ELEONORA” Dolcetto di Dogliani D.O.C.G, our flagship wine.
We produce some of the most renowned wines of Piedmont: Langhe Nebbiolo Doc, Barbaresco Docg, Barolo Docg, Barbera, Chardonnay and Langhe Sauvignon.
